Green America to Bring Together Nation’s Leading Green Business Leaders at the 8th Annual Green Business Conference 

Hundreds Will Attend Nation’s Leading Green Business Event in November to Discover New Ways to Prosper in the New Economy

Washington, D.C. Green America’s Green Business Network brings their eighth annual Green Business Conference to San Francisco’s historic Hotel Whitcomb, November 11-12, 2009. The event will occur just prior to the Green Festival, the nation’s largest green consumer event, on November 13-14, 2009 at the Concourse Exhibition Center, where businesses can reach tens of thousands of green consumers.  The conference offers a plethora of speakers, workshops, business-to-business networking, and numerous green marketing opportunities.

This year’s theme, New Ways to Prosper in the New Economy, will focus on how to grow and build an authentic green business in today’s economic reality, assuring that no green business is left behind.

At the conference, attendees will learn what they need to build and lead an authentic green business when resources are tight.  Experts will share strategies for success, such as new business social networking tools and how they can address the emerging new green demographic.

Successful green business leaders with extensive experience will share their insight into the green marketplace, and provide marketing and financial models for businesses: 

Phaedra Ellis Lamkins, Green for All’s CEO, will examine the Obama Administration’s stimulus package and how it is providing access to green jobs in underserved communities, aiding green businesses, and guaranteeing broad access to clean energy jobs.

Gil Friend, author of The Truth About Green Business, will profile the 52 focused ‘truths’ that provide a practical roadmap for large and small businesses to make money. Friend states, “These practices are good for business and for the world…they increase profits, lower costs, and attract customers.  This includes everything from strategy to operations, supply chains to marketing, and IT to finance.”

Bob Johansen will share insights from his new book, Leaders Make the Future, and will address the ten leadership skills that businesses need to embrace to be successful in an uncertain future. According to Johansen, “Today’s businesses are operating in a world characterized by volatility, uncertainty, complexity, and ambiguity …and this requires a new level of skills.”

Structured networking opportunities are abundant throughout the conference so businesses can meet and build connections with other business owners to form synergies and grow together.
