Since 1993, GladRags has empowered women to choose safe, healthy menstrual products. Made to last for years, reusable menstrual pads and cups keep billions of disposable pads and tampons out of the landfill.
GladRags' mission is to promote positive attitudes toward menstruation and make the environment a safer, cleaner place by providing high-quality, sustainable menstrual products that transform how women feel about their periods. The average woman will use up to 12,000 disposable tampons, pads, or pantyliners in her lifetime, so switching to reusable cloth pads or menstrual cups makes a huge environmental difference!
It's really important to us that GladRags is a positive influence on our community in as many ways as possible. Every aspect of our business reflects our commitment to making the world a better place, from providing jobs for people with disabilities to keeping our manufacturing local to doing our best to support women's health in other parts of the world.

- For over 12 years, we have partnered with a local non-profit to provide jobs to adults with developmental disabilities.
- Our staff walk, bicycle, or use car-sharing services for commuting and all work-related trips.
- We partner with the National College of Natural Medicine and donate products to their community clinics to help women in need.
- GladRags supports the education of girls in Africa through our partnership with Empower Women in Africa, and has worked with multiple organizations around the world.
- We're actively working toward a resurgence of US textile manufacturing: our organic cotton pads are made with cotton grown and processed by US farms. All of our pads are manufactured by a woman-owned sewing company just a few miles from our headquarters.
- GladRags has earned Green America's Gold Seal of Approval and cruelty-free certification through Leaping Bunny.
Additionally, GladRags plays a huge role in helping women overcome negative feelings about their own bodies and their menstrual cycles. Beyond helping women on a personal level, we hope that we're exacting change on a societal level simply by talking openly about periods. Just by having a conversation about menstruation or our bodies, we can start to dismantle this taboo that only serves to bring shame to a lot of women.
