MiaDonna & Company® is an earth-friendly jewelry company that has found a meaningful way to fill a demand, with a charitable twist. At MiaDonna® we wanted to raise the ethical bar and help reinvigorate the love affair with diamonds without the feelings of guilt about where they came from and how they are sourced. At MiaDonna® you can find the most beautiful, affordable, eco-friendly lab-created diamonds, gems and hand-made-in-the-USA fine jewelry. A portion of the proceeds, from every sale, go towards rebuilding communities struggling from the unethical harvesting of mined diamonds through our charity foundation, The Greener Diamond. Our biggest project, to date, has been a 100-acre agricultural farm in Sierra Leone, Africa. This farm is currently run by over 500 reformed child soldiers and local youth who shared with our CEO, Anna-Mieke, that they are tired of mining, poverty and conflict; they realize now that mining will never prosper them and they want a brighter future for themselves and their families. If we won the “People & Planet Award" for Green Businesses, we would use the money towards one of the many projects we would like to accomplish over the year. We would either match the $5,000.00 prize, so we can purchase a new tractor for the farm in Sierra Leone, make a donation to the Oregon Food Bank, or participate in a Team-Builder program with Habitat for Humanity Portland/Metro East.

At MiaDonna&Company® we are fully committed to the modern diamond consumer, the environment and global societies and show this through our daily commitment to Reduce, Reuse, Recycle and Reinvest. Our environmental commitments include, but are not limited to, only using recycled metals in our USA made eco-friendly settings, eco-friendly packaging and jewelry cleaner that is sent with every order shipped, carbon neutral shipments: we plant a tree for every package we send through Nature Conservatory, our offices are 95% effective in reusing, recycling and minimizing the potential power and natural resources a traditional office would use and we only use recycled paper and soy inks when printing what is absolutely necessary. Aside from our commitment to global societies and the environment, we take pride in giving back to our local communities too. We have worked with local radio stations for causes like March of Dimes, Breast Cancer Awareness, Prevention and Research where the proceeds benefited a local chapter of the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation, the CCA (Children's Cancer Association) as well as the Portland Union Gospel Mission. We have also made charitable donations to the Oregon Food Bank and Helping Hands (also affiliated with the Oregon Food Bank). Here at MiaDonna® we hope to continue growing, so we can keep supporting our local and global community though sponsoring events, charitable donations and volunteering our time; since we are all in this together.
