The Black Mesa Trust is a Hopi organization focused on protecting the Navajo Acquifer, spings and watersheds of the Black Mesa area from further environmental degradation caused by Peabody Coal Company. Black Mesa Trust works to educate the public about Peabody's activities and to oppose its continued misuse of resources that belong to all the inhabitants of the Black Mesa area.
