Dear Member of Congress:
I urge you to pass legislation that provides a long-term extension of the Production Tax Credit (PTC). The PTC is a major job creator and will help to ensure that the United States remains competitive in the increasingly important field of wind power.
Keeping the PTC in place will send the message to markets to continue investment in wind power, helping to create tens of thousands of new jobs. Without the PTC, the United States will lose these vital jobs to other nations.
Wind power benefits people across the country – from the coasts to the heartland, from the largest cities to the smallest towns. Wind power is already cheaper in many parts of the country than other sources of energy. Continued investment will make sure more Americans have access to inexpensive, renewable wind energy.
