How to Support Women-Owned Green Businesses on International Women's Day

Submitted by greenamerica on March 7, 2017

Green America’s Green Business Network is proud to stand with “A Day Without a Woman” on Wednesday, March 8—International Women’s Day. This global demonstration of economic solidarity is an excellent opportunity to support our women-owned Green Business Network members. Comprised of 3,000 businesses, the Green Business Network is home to both rising social- and eco-enterprises and the most established green businesses around. Our Certified members adopt principles and practices that protect people AND the planet. They challenge themselves to bring the goals of social and economic justice, environmental sustainability, as well as community health and development, into all of their activities — from production and supply chain management to employee relations and customer service. On Wednesday, March 8, join us in supporting the green economy and the women entrepreneurs who are making an impact through their green businesses. More information from the Women's March:

In the same spirit of love and liberation that inspired the Women's March, we join together in making March 8th A Day Without a Woman, recognizing the enormous value that women of all backgrounds add to our socio-economic system--while receiving lower wages and experiencing greater inequities, vulnerability to discrimination, sexual harassment, and job insecurity. We recognize that trans and gender nonconforming people face heightened levels of discrimination, social oppression and political targeting. We believe in gender justice.
