Non-GMO Infant Formula Resources

The conversation around nanoparticles and genetically engineered foods becomes increasingly personal and much more time sensitive when we consider the foods that we are feeding our children in their most fragile developmental stages. Friends of the Earth (FoE) tested Enfamil, Similac, Gerber (Nestlé), and Well Beginnings (Walgreens) to reveal that six of the leading infant formula brands contain nanoparticles. This is especially shocking when recent studies found these tiny particles to be potentially toxic. Their tiny size allows nanoparticles to flow freely through our bodies, potentially getting into places (gut wall, bloodstream, organs and cells) that larger particles cannot.

From organic formula options, to donor milk, to making your own infant formula, there are non-GMO alternatives for the mother or infant who cannot nurse. GMO Inside has compiled a list of  resources:

Concerns about Nano, GMOs, and DHA in Formula:

TAKE ACTION: Please join us in calling on the US infant formula manufacturers (Similac, Enfamil, Gerber Good Start, and Well Beginnings) to remove their nanoparticle ingredients from their products.
