If you’ve ever wondered what goes into the food on your table, farmer-owned co-operative Organic Valley invites you to find out. Their new Farm Discovery tours offer a chance to explore a real Organic Valley family farm, see calves up close and walk beautiful pastures with guided tours from their farmers.
Organic Valley, a Green Business Network member since 1994, will offer these tours for free in several parts of the United States. Farmers will provide product sampling, as well as games and activities for kids of all ages – including butter making.
Founded in 1988 by seven families in Wisconsin, Organic Valley has grown substantially over the years, now including 1,779 farmers in 34 states. In December 2015, the company surpassed $1 billion in sales, making it the first organic food company to reach this milestone.
